The hotel is a good base for exploring Aguilar de Campoo attractions. Its lovely location near Santander is convenient for a late afternoon arrival from Portsmouth. the public areas are enjoyable.

Hotel staff were very kind. Receptionist didn't speak great english so she introduced me to David at the bar who translates really well. Restaurant was closed due to holiday so can't comment on that. Monastery is being converted into a school, but is actually pretty interesting to walk through. Very nice, quiet place to spend a night. Wi-fi worked well.

Room was tiny, but not bad for a single or maybe a double occupancy. Not much to do in town but see historical monastery and castle.

Excellent customer service from Receptionist. We arrived late and restaurant made us sandwiches as we had a toddler who needed feeding. Lovely building.

Bathroom very very tiny - difficult with toddler to wash as the area was so small! Room was very warm as well. Also difficult for us as toddler kept climbing stairs up to bed/mezzanine area

The hotel is quaint and newly decorated, set in a very pleasant area. It is located just next door to lovely gardens where you can relax. the breakfast offers a great selection of fabulous meals. All of the staff are delightfully helpful and decent. the location is exceptionally nice, not very far from Colegiata of San Miguel.

The location was perfect and nice for Aguilar de Campoo, very close to the historic monastery, the garden, and Santander, which is convenient for a late afternoon arrival. the staff was wonderfully helpful, and the service was very good.

The twin/double room with a "bathtub ", facilities worked for us.

The hotel was delightful, very comfortable & charmingly rustic. The staff were welcoming & extremely helpful. Its location, just off the motorway on the outskirts of Aguillar de Campoo was very convenient as a stopping off point on our long journey south.

The staff here are excellent and committed, the location is wonderful, just 4 km from the Embalse de Aguilar Playa, and it's quite near the city center.

Great situation and wonderful old monastery - good dinner and such helpful staff

The hotel was on the edge of the town and a converted monastery. The building was lovely, very well converted. The bedroom was small but with the bed on a mezzanine level not cramped. The stairs up to the bed were not the easiest to negotiate, especially during the night. The bed was also not the best I have had as was a very comfortable mattress but this was directly onto a solid wood base. The dining room was small but pleasant and breakfast was a cold buffet but plentiful.

On arrival the receptionist advised us that the restaurant would not be open for dinner that evening (Sunday) She did phone other hotels in the area to find an open one and gave us directions to it. Felt that we should have been advised in advance of this situation but the staff member tried her best to help. On our return to the hotel she served us coffee despite the cafe being closed, very helpful.

The stay here was really lovely for a weekend getaway to relax.

Hotel was well decorated in all of public areas. Breakfast was quite good but quite expensive.

No english spoken by any staff.Food in the evening at the restaurant was very poor and very overpriced. Rooms were small and totally unsuitable for elderly people. Directions to hotel poor. Water and fruit juices not chilled.Very overpriced for what it delivered

This place is small and beautiful with excellent staff, and the food is outstanding and fabulous.

The guest room was modern, it had central heating, a work desk and a TV set. It had a perfect and magnificent location short walk to historic monastery, which is convenient for a late afternoon arrival from Portsmouth and shops & restaurants.
